COFDM Wireless Video Down Link
The Rover-UAV system provides an exceptionally stable wireless video transmission platform in high multi-path environments. Using the latest COFDM modulation techniques and diversity reception principles, Rover-UAV delivers high quality, low latency video images in conditions where traditional analogue FM methods fail. Ultra low bandwidth options ensure spectral efficiency, greatly increasing receiver sensitivity compared with conventional analogue techniques.
Rover-UAV is suitable for a wide range of applications in both the security and low cost air to ground video down or up links. It can be used in pilotless aircraft or remote controlled terrestrial vehicles in both mobile and fixed installations. Its low current consumption allows for efficient battery operation.
Various power outputs and frequencies are available catering for longer transmission ranges. A rotary channel switch allows simple selection of up to sixteen settings, these being any combination of frequency and COFDM parameters. LED indicators and a signal level meter provide the user with a clear view of DC power and receiver tuning lock status.
Standard transmitter models are available with 100 mW or 1 Watt power output. Higher powers are available if required.
2 channel MRC diversity receivers have the option of hand held portable units with integrated video monitor and battery for truly portable applications.
Standard pole mounted receivers provide for optimum location for the best signal reception

“Rover Director” Receiver Option

The Rover Director is a portable, 2 channel diversity receiver with internal battery and facility for an optional V lock battery to be fitted on the rear. The integrated 7” high brightness video monitor shows the received images in full colour. A standard composite video output provides for video distribution to other monitors as required.
An optional visor enables outside operation in bright sunlight.
With fully charged batteries the operation time between charges is in excess of five hours, providing for a truly versatile video monitoring facility at modest cost and uncomplicated operation. |
