Linking video images from marine based cameras to a central receiver is now simply achieved by the Navtech Systems COFDM digital video link system. Using the latest digital video techniques the images are transmitted to the central receiver for use as required.
Standard format PAL or NTSC video signals from portable cameras simply connect to the miniature lightweight transmitter, rated up to 1 watt capability. In standard configuration output power is limited to 100mW. Removal of an attenuator allows 1W output to enable camera image transmissions in excess of 10 Km to be achieved. The receiver utilises two channel maximal ratio combining diversity techniques to enhance signal reception from direct and multipath signals.
Installation of the receiver at the base of the antenna support is straightforward with the two antennas mounted using the brackets provided. Power for the 19” 2U receiver is from the ships 24 V dc or standard mains supply. The video and audio distribution is by conventional techniques ensuring simplicity of operation.
