A self-contained video microwave receiver and monitor suitable for most forms of video links. The multi-channel receiver can be programmed for the frequency used for the common Heli-Tele down link in the L, S, and C or X bands. The system may also be used in point to point or covert links commonly used in surveillance applications.

The integrated high brightness TFT monitor will display the received video images in full colour. An auxiliary output enables external video monitors to be simultaneously viewed at any location. Optional video decryption is offered for authorised users. Powered by an internal, high capacity battery or direct from a 12 Volt vehicle supply, operation is suitable for mobile applications where the receiver unit is installed in a command or surveillance vehicle. The unit may also be operated from an external universal ac mains power supply.

The high gain (4dBi) omni CP mag-mount antenna enables the down linked signals to be received out to approx’ 6 miles (line of sight).

Portable Ground Receive ‘Grab n Go’ Briefcase

For applications where quick deployment is required, the “Grab n Go” briefcase receiver system provides for almost instantaneous reception of pictures from the helicopter video down link transmissions.

Housed in a rugged Storm Case, the ground receive case is designed to be hand carried or in vehicles such as police patrol cars and incorporates a microwave receiver and 10.4” LCD outside viewable monitor. The system is ready for use as soon as power is supplied to the case, which may be from the 12 or 24 volt vehicle supply or from an ac line supply.

The unit is supplied with a mag mount 5dBi hemi-omni antenna for ease of antenna deployment. Reception from distances out to 10Km or more (subject to line of sight between the antenna and the aircraft) is achievable. The system is ideal when circumstances mean that a transmitting unit is operating out of range of a fixed site. The “Grab n Go” provides an ideal alternative.
